Airport Control Tower

Eau Claire, Wisconsin is connected to Interstate 94, along the Chicago-Milwaukee-Minneapolis/St. Paul corridor. U.S. Highway 53 connects the city with Lake Superior to the north and the Mississippi River to the south. Within the city, the North Crossing highway and bridge offer north side residents a convenient route between Highways 53 and 12. As you travel through town, there will be many gas and convenience stores to satisfy your travel needs.

The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport is a certified FAA facility with automated weather service. A new air traffic control tower opened in October 2006. Commercial service is offered through Mesaba Airlines with five flights to Minneapolis and two flights to Rhinelander seven days a week. Heartland Aviation offers charter flights, including jet service and air freight. Van shuttle services also are available to take you to the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. If you are in need of a vehicle while visiting or relocating to the area, there are auto rental facilities available.

Greyhound bus service is located at Eau Claire’s convenient terminal, just off Interstate 94, offering daily stops enroute to many major cities and smaller communities in Wisconsin. Within the city, Eau Claire Transit provides city bus service on 11 routes.
