A new partner has been elected in the Eau Claire office of Wipfli LLP, a national CPA and consulting firm with 20 offices across the United States. Todd Kostman is among a group of six associates who were elected to partner this year in the firm. With more than 17 years of experience, Kostman is the leader of the firm’s Business Advisory Services practice in the Eau Claire market and provides accounting, tax and business consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses and their owners. He also leads the firm’s dealership industry practice in the Eau Claire office. A certified public accountant, Kostman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Market & Johnson announced the promotion of Kevin Dallas from project superintendent to project manager. Dallas joined Market & Johnson in 1995 as a carpenter apprentice and has worked as project manager/superintendent since 1998. He  will be responsible for estimating, budgeting and bidding for Market & Johnson, as well as handling all scheduling and direct oversight of all contractors and tradesman activities for his assigned projects.

Ibraheem Abbas, M.D., has joined the Nephrology Department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. Nephrologists are specialists in kidney disease and high blood pressure. Abbas earned his medical degree at Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Guthrie Health/Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. He completed a clinical fellowship in nephrology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Before joining Mayo Clinic Health System, Abbas worked as a hospitalist at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. He has been a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and at State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse.

Ayres Associates has promoted three engineers to positions of management in the firm’s Midwest transportation and traffic engineering groups. Troy Robillard, PE, has been promoted to transportation group manager overseeing staff in the eastern half of Wisconsin in the Waukesha and Green Bay area offices. Jeffrey Abramson, PE, has been promoted to transportation group manager for the western half of Wisconsin, overseeing staff in Eau Claire and Madison. John Davis, PE, PTOE, has been named manager of traffic engineering, supervising traffic staff who provide services throughout the nation from multiple offices.

Pharmastar recently welcomed Angelic Flack as director of client support. Flack brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organization and the new position. Core responsibilities of Flack’s position include the oversight and development of client relationships within Pharmastar’s client base. Flack comes to Pharmastar with seven years of experience in the Medicare D market, with a highlighted service support emphasis on community based charities and non-profit service providers. She also has experience working with 30 Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations nationwide as a pharmacy benefits manager. Her knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining customer relations will be a valuable asset for Pharmastar.

Travis Christman, RN, has been named assistant director of Sacred Heart Hospital’s short stay care unit and post-anesthesia care unit. Christman joined the hospital in 2009 as an RN in the hospital’s post-anesthesia care unit, and later as a charge nurse in the hospital’s short stay care unit.
