Three candidates for two 3-year positions in April 7 election Left to right: Candidates Terrry Neff (I), Hillarie Roth, Gregg Webert; Moderator Garry Johnson (Leader-Telegram) The three candidates for two positions on the Altoona School Board made their cases at a March 9 Candidate Forum, organized by the School District of Altoona, the Leader-Telegram, WQOW News 18, Wisconsin Public Radio, Valley Media Works, and the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. Voters in the district will select two of the three candidates to serve a three-year term. There are five members of the Altoona School Board. In addition to questions about the role of the board in setting policies for the district and selecting a new superintendent, each candidate also had the opportunity to talk about their background and why they are running for school board. The Forum was video recorded by Valley Media Works and is available on their website for on-demand viewing.
