A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Stage Door Unlocked Productions will present a performance of A Christmas Carol - A Reading by Charles Dickens at 7:30 pm on Saturday, November 27 at The Grand Theatre in Eau Claire. The production concept was conceived by Nate Plummer and stars Mr. Plummer in the role of Charles Dickens.
About the Production:
This "one-man production" stars Nate Plummer as Charles Dickens and is based on the American Reading Tour that Dickens performed in the late 1800’s in which he portrayed all of the beloved characters from his holiday classic. Dickens - always a theatrical showman - traveled with his own scenery and lighting equipment throughout his tour. This production - presented over 150 years later - explores how Dickens might present the show using the theatre technology of today: LED Lighting, Projections, Sound Effects, and more.

We know that people often believe that high quality theatre can only happen in big cities and if performance venues that cost millions of dollars to build. A Stage Door Unlocked Productions, we know that isn’t the case. Incredible theatre magic can happen in smaller venues too. That’s why we take such pride not only in the acting in our shows, but the technical components as well. That piece is definitely something that sets us apart from other touring theatre companies.
About Nate Plummer:
Nate Plummer is a performer, director, and internationally known audition coach.
