The Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce has welcomed two new interns, Brianna Franke and Danya Morman, who will assist with the implementation of the organizations’ Governmental Affairs programs through the 2021-2022 academic year. Both are political science majors at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
Brianna Franke is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire majoring in Political Science with minors in Business Administration and Business Finance and a certificate in Economics of Global Affairs. When not at the Chamber, Brianna spends her time as a talent acquisition and campus marketing intern at Bio-Techne, a life-science company headquartered in Minneapolis. Brianna is from Mounds View, Mn and enjoys hiking, baking, and getting ice cream at Ramones!
Danya Morman is a Junior at UWEC from Wisconsin Rapids. She is studying both Political Science and Statistics with a certificate in Campaign Consulting. When not at the Chamber, Danya tutors in the Math Lab at UWEC and does research with fellow students and professors. For fun Danya likes to knit and crochet, bike, and read in Phoenix Park. After graduating Danya would like to work in political polling.
“This internship program has been a critical part of accomplishing the Chamber's public policy work since 1999," noted the Chamber's Vice President Governmental Affairs, Scott Rogers. "It serves to provide a practical experience for the interns," he said, "and helps us to accomplish more work on behalf of the business community."
Former Governmental Affairs Intern, Grace Hanson (pictured above), has graduated and is now working as Reception Coordinator at local Chamber investor, WIN Technologies.
