Front row: 2019-20 interns Amy Oldenburg, Clayton Cavanaugh
Amy Oldenburg is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire working towards a degree in integrated strategic communication with minors in multimedia communication and political science. When not at the chamber, Amy spends her time as a digital marketing intern at Beaver Creek Nature Reserve and treasurer of UW-Eau Claire's Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). This summer, Amy interned in the marketing and communication department at the Aspen Music Festival and School. She hopes to bring this experience along with her passion for political affairs into her role at the chamber.
Clayton Cavanaugh is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire working towards a dual degree in economics and political science with certificates in campaign consultation and pre-law. Clayton has been involved with local government affairs since high school where he worked as a program assistant for his hometown's, Muskego, Wisconsin's, parks and recreation department. He hopes to further apply his new undergraduate studies to local workforce and government affairs through this internship. Upon graduation, Clayton plans to attend law school.
Amy and Clayton have taken over the role of lat year's interns, Emma Koehn and Nate Kane. The two both graduated last spring and have moved on to further their career. Emma currently works as an account coordinator at JT Mega, an integrated food advertising agency, and Nate is studying law at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
