MRA's Jim Morgan to deliver keynote on attracting, developing, and retaining talent
Morgan points out that, every day, employers and HR professionals are grappling with attracting, developing, and retaining talent. Yet, there's good news, he says. By understanding the demographics driving today's workforce challenges, employers can apply solutions that are based upon today's best practices.
For example: Have you moved your best salespeople into your HR department? If not, you aren’t addressing your most critical problem: talent. Are your marketing and human resources departments in harmony in making you the employer of choice? If not, you better get them together. Do your employees care about your benefits? If not, they aren’t benefits. Have you thought about Puerto Rico as a recruitment strategy? Other companies are already there. Welcome to 2019!
Also providing key insights will be Ted Abernathy of Economic Leadership LLC, “The Trends Transforming Our Workforce Future,” Wes Escondo, "Employee Retention: Work, Play and Stay in the Chippewa Valley," and Drew Conrad, The Institute for Decision Making, "Bringing it home - specific strategies for our region and state." The event will feature break out sessions on implementing specific talent strategies.
