We represent and advocate for 50,000 employees throughout Eau Claire County.

Addressing Workforce Challenges

Workforce remains the number one challenge for employers across the Chippewa Valley. Growing demand, demographic shifts, and persistent skills gaps continue to make it difficult for businesses to hire and retain employees. In addition, evolving expectations around workplace culture, flexibility, and community amenities influence talent attraction and retention.

The Chamber is committed to addressing these challenges by:

  • Promoting the Chippewa Valley’s assets as a competitive place to live, work, and grow a career.

  • Viewing workforce as a supply chain issue, convening employers, educators, and community leaders to address barriers and create solutions.

  • Supporting impactful workforce initiatives at the local, regional, and state level that directly benefit employers.

  • Collaborating with partners where Chamber expertise and resources add value.

  • Engaging in policy and advocacy to advance strategies that strengthen our workforce system.
