- Wisconsin Counties Association Magazine -Homelessness is on the rise across much of the state, putting a strain on county resources. The February 2025 issue of Wisconsin Counties takes a look at the initiatives and collaborations working to ensure every person in the state has a safe place to live, and our communities thrive.
- Street Journals: The Chippewa Valley Street Ministry is a ministry that seeks to meet the needs of those in our community who are not able to find housing, clothing, and other various needs to survive. On most Monday and Thursday nights, they can be found from 5:30-7:30 in the parking lot opposite Sojourner House on Barstow Street in Eau Claire. - Point-In-Time Count is a national activity done locally in Eau Claire, Buffalo, Trempealeau, and Jackson Counties twice per year, once in January and once in July. It is intended to provide a statistically reliable, unduplicated count of people experiencing homelessness during a designated period twice per year. Found here
- ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) represents individuals and households who earn just above the Federal Poverty Level by less than what it costs to make ends meet. ALICE workers often struggle to keep their own households from financial ruin while keeping our communities running. Most recent Alice report: Found here
- GAPS Executive Summary The GAPS committee, a subcommittee of the Dairyland Housing Coalition, consists of service providers and community advocates from Eau Claire County. In March 2024, the committee distributed a survey to individuals experiencing homelessness in the city of Eau Claire to gather feedback on local systems and services. This feedback helps identify gaps in services and resources to better meet the needs of those who are unhoused.
