Bias Inside Us Traveling Smithsonian Exhibit is at Pablo Center in Eau Claire

The Bias Inside Us Traveling Smithsonian Exhibit is currently at the Pablo center until March 27th. This is a month-long event that is focused on educating the communities around the world about unconscious bias and how to eliminate it.

Unconscious bias is the bias that we hold against one another for a variety of reasons that we might not even be aware of. Their goal as an organization is to get us to recognize those reasons and shift our mentality. This exhibit is traveling to many different regions across the United States to impact and educate communities just like Eau Claire.

Not only are they offering this in-person exhibit at the Pablo Center, but they have a number of resources online via their website. So if you are unable to make it in person, this would be a great resource to visit! These resources include a digital Smithsonian learning lab to make discoveries, create personalized collections, and share your ideas with others around the world!

Additionally, they have webinars to discuss in-depth information about implicit bias. Some of the webinar topics include Framing Unconscious Bias, Bias is Rooted in The Brain, and Pushing Back Against the Burden of Suspicion. These webinars are all delivered by professional doctors that are qualified to speak about the topic.

The Eau Claire Chamber aims to be a resource for fulfilling your DEI needs. If you would like to get connected with a staff members to learn more about events like these in the community, contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.
