The Opportunity

The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking its next President & CEO to lead a high-performing organization in one of Wisconsin’s fastest-growing regions.

With the upcoming retirement of its current CEO, this is a unique opportunity to build on a strong foundation and guide the Chamber into its next phase of impact, growth, and community leadership.

This role extends beyond traditional Chamber leadership. The President & CEO serves as a key convener, collaborator, and strategic voice—working alongside business, education, and government leaders to shape the future of the Eau Claire region.

The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce is a respected and influential organization serving as a Catalyst, Convener, and Champion for business success and community progress.

Leadership Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic leadership, relationship-building, and organizational management experience.

Experience in Chamber leadership, economic development, or a related field is valuable, but candidates from complementary leadership backgrounds are encouraged to explore the opportunity.

First-Year Priorities

The next President & CEO will have the opportunity to build on a strong foundation while helping shape the Chamber’s next chapter. Key priorities in the first year are expected to include:

Lead a Thoughtful Leadership Transition
Work closely with the Board of Directors and senior staff to ensure a smooth and strategic transition, while establishing your leadership presence within the organization and community.

Build Relationships Across the Region
Engage deeply with investors, board members, community partners, and regional stakeholders to strengthen relationships and reinforce the Chamber’s role as a trusted convener.

Advance Strategic Priorities
Lead the continued implementation of the Chamber’s strategic plan, with a focus on impact across Advocacy, Education, Workforce, and Investor Engagement.

Support and Elevate a Strong Team
Build on an experienced and talented staff by reinforcing a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

Strengthen Regional Partnerships
Continue to enhance collaboration with key partners across economic development, education, and government to support regional growth and alignment.

Position the Chamber for the Future
Work with the Board to assess opportunities for long-term growth, innovation, and sustainability in alignment with evolving Chamber industry trends.
