U.S. Highway 53 connects the city with Lake Superior to the north and the Mississippi River to the south. Within the city, the North Crossing highway and bridge offer north side residents a convenient route between Highways 53 and 12.
The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport is a certified FAA facility with automated weather service and an air traffic control tower. The facility serves the area with daily flights to Chicago through United Express Airlines. Hawthorne Global Aviation Services offers charter flights, including jet service and air freight. Chippewa Valley Airport Service also offers van shuttle services to take you to the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport.
